Despite America’s overall prosperity, the homeless, the unemployed, and the poor often go hungry.  Our volunteers help us prepare meals for shelters, sort and pack non-perishable food donations, work in our on-site food bank,

As a nonprofit organization, St. John’s Food for the Poor Program soup kitchen and food pantry rely on the assistance of community volunteers to help feed 450-700 hot nutritious meals every weekday morning. Volunteers are critical to the functioning of our programs.
